What is Blepharoplasty
Blepharoplasty, or eyelid surgery, is a precise procedure that removes excess skin, muscle, and fat from the upper and/or lower eyelids to restore a more youthful, rested appearance.
As we age, the delicate skin around the eyes loses elasticity, creating heavy, hooded upper lids, puffy under-eye bags, and in some cases drooping skin that interferes with vision.

Every patient is different and your results may vary.
I had heavy upper lids for years that made me look exhausted. After surgery I look like myself again — just more rested. The results are so natural and the care was wonderful.
The under-eye bags I’d had my whole life are gone. The whole experience was reassuring from start to finish, and recovery was much easier than I expected.
Blepharoplasty is generally very well tolerated. The procedure is performed with local anesthesia and optional sedation, so you won’t feel discomfort during surgery. Afterward, most patients describe mild tightness or soreness that is easily managed and fades within a few days.
Most patients take about a week off from work and social activities. Bruising and swelling typically settle within 1–2 weeks, and you’ll return to normal routines gradually. Final, refined results continue to improve over the following weeks.
Eyelid surgery is one of the most common and well-established facial procedures. Performed by a board-certified oculofacial surgeon, it has an excellent safety record. Your consultation includes a thorough evaluation to ensure the procedure is right and safe for you.
Incisions are placed within the natural creases of the eyelids, and many lower-lid procedures can be done on the inside of the lid. Once healed, scars are typically very discreet and difficult to notice.
